Ahhhh… Fall. Season of the Pumpkin Spice. I’m obsessed with the now famous/infamous Starbucks latte, but at 310 calories and $4, it’s hardly a cheap date. Obsessed with pumpkin spice, but on a diet/budget/both? Here are a few hacks to satisfy your cravings.
1. Skinny caramel latte with cinnamon and nutmeg on top. The spices give you that “pumpkin spice” kick and the sugar free caramel saves you 120 calories while still being sweet and creamy. Sorry, though, this one’s just as expensive as the original.
2. Purchase pumpkin flavored ground coffee. This is a great budget AND diet option. Green Mountain coffee has a pumpkin spice flavored fair trade coffee. Get it here!!
3. Buy Pumpkin spice flavoring directly from Starbucks. Yes!! For the pumpkin spice obsessed, Starbucks has made the sauce available for purchase directly from their website. Get it here!!
4.Buy Starbucks instant Pumpkin Spice Lattes. I haven’t experimented with the pumpkin spice variety at all, but I know Starbucks instant latte’s have a habit of turning into little curds at the bottom of your cup, so make sure to use only boiling hot water and to whisk it into the latte mix as you go. This will cost you just $1.59 per serving and the mix is only 140 calories per serving. Mix with coffee instead of hot water for extra punch. Get it Here!
5. Search “pumpkin spice latte” on pinterest.com. There are hundreds of other alternative recipes. I’m personally to busy/lazy to try any of them, but the photos all look fantastic!! I’ll leave the experimenting up you – my adventurous readers. Please report back
